Common challenges

The problems we solve most often

We hear them from manufacturers, distributors, property developers and companies running funded digitalisation projects.

The situation

“We have an approved digitalisation project with hard deadlines and dense technical requirements (ERP, CRM, IoT, AI).”

What we do

We deliver the complete platform, with the equipment integrated and the acceptance documentation. We have done it for EU-funded projects with fixed deadlines.

The situation

“We need a device that does not exist on the market — or exists, but does not do exactly what we want.”

What we do

We design the electronics, write the firmware, make the enclosure and test it in our lab. You get a working prototype, then a small series.

The situation

“We have data from sensors and equipment, but we cannot see it or react to it.”

What we do

We connect your sensors to our IoT platform: real-time dashboard, automatic rules, alerts, history. No vendor lock-in.

The situation

“Our systems do not talk to each other; people copy data by hand.”

What we do

We integrate ERP, CRM, payments, kiosks and devices into one flow, with AI agents for classification, extraction and reports.

What we do

Three pillars, one engineering team

We do not subcontract hardware to one company and software to another. The same engineers design the sensor, the firmware, the cloud and the app.

Our own platform

Stunner Core: from sensor to decision

Our IoT platform, developed since 2019, runs in real buildings and installations. We use it as the base for smart-building and automation projects, so we never start from zero.

  • Rules that act — “If luminance drops below 200 lx after 18:00, switch circuit K1 on” — no code, with history.
  • Encrypted telemetry — Data encrypted in transit and at rest, roles and permissions, audit log.
  • No vendor lock-in — Standard protocols, data export, documented API. Your devices stay yours.

Agentic AI, under control

AI agents working on real data, with people who own the outcome

We use AI agents in our own engineering workflow and ship them to clients as part of the product. With clear rules about what they decide and what a human decides.

01

In engineering

Code generation and review, automated tests, documentation, assisted firmware. Every change goes through human review.

02

In your product

Document classification, assistants on your own knowledge base (RAG), data extraction from invoices and orders, reports.

03

On sensor data

Anomaly detection, predictive maintenance, scenarios that adapt to weather and consumption.

04

Governance

Traceability for every agent action, explicit limits, data that never leaves your infrastructure if that is what you need.

We do not promise “AI that solves everything”. We promise systems where AI does the repetitive work well and verifiably, and the important decisions stay with people.

Smart home & building automation platform with 100+ device profiles

Challenge
Modern buildings and homes have devices from dozens of manufacturers on different protocols (Zigbee, Z-Wave, IP). Users want one place to control them and rules that work without intervention.
Solution
The Stunner Core platform: multi-protocol gateway, cloud with time-series telemetry, rules engine (“Robots”) with scenarios adapted to weather and consumption, web and mobile app, roles and end-to-end encryption.
Result
Over 100 device profiles supported out of the box, rules running in production for years, a reusable base for clients' smart-building and automation projects.

Multi-protocol IoT gateway for our own platform

Challenge
Zigbee, Z-Wave and IP devices had to be aggregated locally, keep working offline when the internet drops, with encryption and remote updates — without depending on a closed off-the-shelf gateway.
Solution
A gateway designed in our lab: embedded Linux hardware with radio modules, firmware with offline buffering, telemetry encryption, OTA, secure provisioning and native integration with the platform cloud.
Result
The gateway runs in real installations, with OTA updates and no data loss during connectivity outages. The architecture is reused for industrial gateways (Modbus, LoRaWAN).

About us

Engineers since 2015, with our own prototyping lab in Romania

Stunner started as a software company and grew naturally into hardware and IoT, because client projects required both. Today the same team covers the whole chain: sensor, firmware, cloud, application.

  • We build, not just integrateWhen the off-the-shelf solution does not exist or does not fit, we design it — and it stays yours.
  • Senior by defaultEvery project has a senior engineer accountable from the first call to support.
  • VerifiableTested code, documentation, technical reports you can hand to an evaluator or a funding body.

Frequently asked questions

What clients ask before we start

Do you work with small companies, or only on large projects?

We work with SMEs, industrial companies and funded digitalisation projects. The smallest useful engagement is a 20-minute call followed by a written proposal; the smallest typical project is a prototyping sprint or an MVP of a few weeks.

How long does a working IoT prototype take?

A demonstrable prototype (electronics on a dev-kit or our own PCB, firmware, connectivity and a minimal dashboard) usually takes 4 to 8 weeks, depending on sensors and protocols. The small series follows field validation.

Can you deliver an EU-funded or grant project?

Yes. We have delivered software platforms with integrated equipment (kiosks, IoT devices) for EU-funded projects with fixed deadlines, including the documentation needed for acceptance. We work at a fixed price with clear deliverables, as these projects require.

How do you use AI and who is accountable for the result?

AI agents generate and review code, write tests and documentation; in client products they classify documents, extract data and answer from internal knowledge. Every change goes through human review; a senior engineer is accountable for the result.

Who owns the code, schematics and PCBs?

The client, upon full payment. We hand over source code, schematics, PCB files, firmware and documentation. We do not impose proprietary licences on custom work.

How much does it cost?

It depends on scope, but we say it upfront: after the initial call you receive a written proposal with stages and budget. Fixed price for a clear scope; dedicated team billed on hours for evolving products. We invoice in EUR for international clients.

Do you work remotely or on site?

Mostly remotely, with on-site visits when the project involves equipment installation, measurements or commissioning. We are based in Târgu Mureș, Romania (CET/EET), and work with clients across Romania and the EU.

Do you offer support after launch?

Yes: warranty for what we deliver, then maintenance and an optional SLA (response within hours for critical incidents), monitoring and OTA updates for devices.

Have a project that needs both software and hardware?

Tell us in 20 minutes what you want to build. We reply within 24 hours with the next steps.
