IoT engineering: sensors, gateways and a platform that acts, not just displays
We connect equipment, buildings and installations to our own telemetry and rules platform. We design the hardware too when needed. From prototype to a fleet of devices in production.
Stunner is an IoT engineering company from Târgu Mureș, Romania, that has developed its own smart-building and automation platform (Stunner Core) since 2019 and delivers connected systems for buildings, manufacturing and agriculture. We cover the whole chain: sensor, gateway, cloud, application.
Smart home & building automation platform with 100+ device profiles
Challenge
Modern buildings and homes have devices from dozens of manufacturers on different protocols (Zigbee, Z-Wave, IP). Users want one place to control them and rules that work without intervention.
Solution
The Stunner Core platform: multi-protocol gateway, cloud with time-series telemetry, rules engine (“Robots”) with scenarios adapted to weather and consumption, web and mobile app, roles and end-to-end encryption.
Result
Over 100 device profiles supported out of the box, rules running in production for years, a reusable base for clients' smart-building and automation projects.

Construction intelligence platform with reality capture: drones, 360° cameras, IoT sensors and robots
Challenge
A construction consultancy needed to compare as-built with as-designed continuously, track progress (S-curve, SPI/CPI/EAC) and generate work statements from real site data, within an EU-funded digitalisation project with full DESI requirements (ERP, CRM, cloud, IoT, AI).
Solution
A modular platform in 8 modules: data ingestion from drones, 360° and infrared cameras, IoT sensors and robots; storage (data lake + documents); vision processing and correlation; analytics and indicators; operational management; role-based UI; reporting; security (RBAC, audit).
Result
Platform contract in progress, with the equipment (drones, robots, cameras, servers) procured and integrated in the same project. 4-month delivery, 36-month warranty, 3-tier SLA.

Between 4 and 8 weeks for a demonstrable prototype: sensors (on a dev-kit or our own PCB), gateway, connectivity and a minimal dashboard, installed on the real site. Series and scale-up follow the pilot.
Do you use your own platform, or can we use something else?
We use Stunner Core because it is production-tested and we do not start from zero, but we also work on existing platforms (ThingsBoard, AWS IoT, Azure IoT) or on-premise, if the project requires it. Protocols are standard and data is exportable.
What happens when the internet goes down?
The gateway stores data locally and sends it when the connection returns; local rules keep running. You lose neither telemetry nor control.
Can you design the sensor if it does not exist on the market?
Yes, in our lab: electronics, PCB, firmware, enclosure. See the R&D pillar. Often we combine an off-the-shelf sensor with a gateway we design.
How does IoT relate to funded digitalisation projects?
Recent EU calls require “advanced digitalisation” with IoT and AI. We deliver the devices, the platform and the acceptance documentation as a single fixed-price package.
